Thanks Walter! much appreciated.

I was hoping that the price list codes would tell me a bit about the options my car came with.

I'm not sure how I can get details on my specific car...... oh well.

I have the general info on my vin #.

Unfortunately the Options codes are only on the original dealer window sticker. It was until later that there was a paper label stuck to the underside of the hood and in the owners manuals that gave more info, at some point when they eliminated the Kunstharzack plate from the door jam and relied on decals for paint and options codes.

Well dang it, thats making sense, after all these years of wondering and trying ro get details on my car., never being able to get anywhere. THANK YOU. I can accept that and know i wasnt trying hard enough or intelligently enough. I guess i can put it to rest....

Unless....

I can find an original window sticker..... aahhh fuch... back to where I started dang it !

To get entire information on how your car was equipped from factory you can order a birth certificate from Porsche itself:
https://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesandservices/classic/technicalcertificate/

After that you can order the paper hood VIN and options sticker from some vendors in the net...

It appears that a Certificate of Authenticity has been replaced with the Technical Certificate. I've never heard of anyone getting a replacement window sticker. Luckily, I have mine for my 1981 911SC - the way they stuck the sticker on the windows back then pretty much made it impossible to get it off cleanly. I have mine, but it is torn and taped together. I did not think the paper hood sticker came on the 911 until the Carreras in 1984?

I'm not even sure those codes appeared on the window sticker. Here is a 1975 for sale that includes a window sticker, no codes: https://www.elferspot.com/en/car/porsche-911-s-us-1975-526276/

And another on Rennlist, this one is a 1974. No codes: https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1190138

When I did some digging a while back for the same as pre-h20, I found a “monroney label” dealer window sticker on the worldwide internets for a car (1977) that happened built a few ahead of mine which I thought was good enough to keep if only as a reference.

Now that I re-reviewed it, all that’s listed is an Option Group V40 ($1270), but that really doesn’t help identifying what’s in that group. All the other options are not “coded” either, just listed and priced.

A $125 PPS doesn’t list option ‘codes’, just the as-delivered options. Is it worth it to fork over $500 for a classic tech certificate, but I believe once this info is obtained from Porsche, a custom reproduction at Monroney Labels.com can be made.

Btw … Maybe that picture PRE-H20 posted is a line item dealer order or build list a customer would order from?
