oil pressure problem

After all my not starting issues have been somewhat resolved. And I emphasize somewhat! I changed my oil last week in case it may have gotten contaminated. After I changed the oil I noticed that the oil pressure when the motor was hot, was not keeping up with my RPM's as it always had in the past. At 4000 Rpm's it gets to around 3.5 At 5000 or 6000 it is only around 4. When idling it gets down to .5 or lower. Is there something that could have changed when I changed the oil. I replaced the oil with the same Kendle 20/50 I had in it before.
The truth is, is that after I had the work done... new rebuild fuel distributor, I probably wasn't watching my oil pressure as closely as I was after I changed the oil and was checking my oil to get the level right.
The other difference is the temperature outside is significantly hotter now than it has been since I have owned the car... And a little footnote... I didn't get a good feeling from the mechanic who worked on the car. He was recommended, he was expensive, and the car still isn't running right, but that is another post...
Thanks if anyone has any clue as to what may be going on...

Doesn't sound like you have a problem. Hotter temps will equal lower oil pressure as the oil gets hotter and thinner...

The factory owners manuals in some 911s state that it's not uncommon for the oil pressure warning light to come on when the car is idling and warm.

My car's max press is about 4-4.5 bar, but if you think about it that would be about 60psi. I think the factory says our cars should run at least 10 psi per 1000 rpm, so you wouldn't necessarily even run 1 bar at idle. And, of course as Wayne says hotter oil = lower pressure.

that is very good news (sigh of relief!)
Thank you gentlemen!
So I don't need to keep oil pressure by reving if its idle? I shouldn't worry about it? Just drive and be happy?
