Can I change my accelerator pedal?
1974 911S
In the process of swapping out my wooden floorboard for an aluminum one I noticed the base of my accelerator pedal was tearing. Looked up the replacement and noticed their is a later model that includes a tab on the bottom. It looks like that is there instead of having the accelerator stopper on the floorboard like the earlier version. Do you know if I can save myself the hassle of adding the floorboard stopper to my aluminum floorboard by using this newer pedal? I would use the one requiring an installed stop. Just drill a hole, a 6mm bolt and 2 nuts. That way you can set it exactly. Otherwise the pedal with the tap may give you the correct distance or not.

Thanks, great idea. That is simpler solution than trying to remount the original stop on the new floorboard.
