No. Who told you to use pvc? Are you talking about the rubber that goes on the metal clips?? If so use electrical shrink tubing.

Amazon cheaper for the pvc/vinyl “wire sleeve”, shipping from McM-C is almost as much as the parts.
I used this for exposed fog lights wires on my motorcycle. Gives a firmer and better appearance than heat shrink tubing.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but similar question.

I noticed that my wire harness that goes across the top of my engine to the back panel as some cheap hose cut along the length and fit over the wires. It looks like crap. Is there anything out there that can go around the wires in a clean manner? I can slip the main connector through a hose. Is there some kind of Tape?

There is wiring harness tape. Looks like ordinary electrical tape but not so sticky. A couple of layers of this stuff would provide a lot of protection. Another idea is that twisty plastic stuff that goes over 240 volt electrical wires. Doesn't look very nice but I'm sure it works.

Edit: It's called cable wrap or spiral binding.
