Porsche 'symbol' ?

for some reason I think I recall seeing this symbol with a circle rather than the triangle.

or am I just dreaming stuff up.

in full disclosure, reason I am interested is I plan to have this as a tatto. went looking through some parts and all I found looked like this. also did some searching.

This is why people regret tattoos later. Thats not a Porsche symbol but the stamp from otto fuchs the wheel manufacturer. They were different variations over time, some even looked like a fox.

yea, that is why I want to be sure.

that is off the aux heater parts from the engine bay on my 85 911.

saw the same symbol on another plastic part, and also on a rear wing from a 928.

so why a otto fuchs symbol on those part?

anyone have a pic of the REAL symbol? want something most people will not know what it is, rather than the Porsche hood crest emblem.

so I turned 65 recently and after doing a lot of wrenching on older P cars decided to join the crowd.

at one of the pubs I like to frequent, usually a lot of tattos and piercings... told them when I was their age the only thing I needed to do to revert from my wild ways was change clothes and get my hair cut....

I've never been too enthralled with tattoos but to each their own. Why not the real deal?

The 'VP' is the Porsche service mark. The little fox stamp is that of the Otto Fuchs company.

Fuchs is German for 'fox'. In this case, the 's' is indivisible from the 'chs' in 'fuchs'. It makes me wince when people use it in the singular - for example 'WTB one 6x16 Fuch'.

I thought they proved tattoos caused brain damage ........ or maybe it was just an observation that those that had tattoos seemed to have brain damage....

that happens as you get older....

Why not the real deal
as I said, this symbol is more obscure and not many will know what it is. I see that Porsche shield tatto'ed a lot.

I never thought I would get a tatto. but getting a little one of this symbol has started growing on me the more I saw it when wrenching.

so I guess I just imagined I saw this with a circle rather than the triangle.

thanks for the post.

will be watching for anything new.

A friend of mine and a very talented and active memer of this community had this tattoo done. I think this is the coolest Porsche themed tattoo I have ever seen.

Those tattoos have met!

Funny this " P" is my next tattoo

Same reason as above, it's obscure
