Ugh ... electrical gremlins ... again ... '78 911SC
So, out of paint and everything was working great until ... turn signals suddenly stopped? I have Spokeworks LED relay and getting 12v on 49? I saw a post indicating the relay could then be bad? Oddly enough, Hazard Lights work great (new switch from our host); with no power on - L/R signals will light solid (as they should) but no turn signals with power on? Took it all apart today and I can't find 12V to the stalk unless either Hazards are engaged and/or high/low beam and lights on. Figure since all else works in the stalk, it's the relay and/or hazard switch? Any definitive test to tell which as this point? Does power come from the relay or hazard for the signals on the stalk? Both hazard switch and relay are less than 6 months old with no real time since it has been in restoration. Previous owner had already replaced the stalk relatively recently as well.
Double checked the stalk connections and wiring to the light switch and all else look as it should. |

what relay are you running? LED compatible?
Give Jerry at Spokeworks a shout - he's super responsive. |

Yes, Spokeworks. We have been shooting emails back and forth. Since the no power on and left/right signals light up, I figured the signal switch may be ok. It's the lack of finding any power to the signal switch unless the hazards are engaged, even with the key on, All this happened shortly after the hazard switch swap. Of course, I threw the old one out - dummy - could have used it now to test. Ordered one from pelican last night along with another relay from Jerry (always good to have in any event).
