Door Jamb VIN Sticker

Hi,

I am going to have my car repainted and need some help with the VIN number sticker that goes on the door jamb.

After searching the archives, I went to my local dealer armed with info, such as the part number for the sticker (911.701.112.29 ) and came home empty handed. That number isn't in his parts DB.

I looked a little more thoroughly through the archives and saw something about a form D1 13. I called the same parts guy and he had not heard of that form as either.

Can someone please tell me how they got that sticker?

Thanks for the help,

The local dealer should be able to get it, though it might take a few calls. Take in the title/registration/drivers lic./reason for swap/birth certificate/fingerprints/DNA sample/beg,plead etc.. and he can get it from overseas central command in about a month. $70,, and the replacement will be black instead of gold.
Take some photos with you and the VIN before just in case.

Should is the operable word here. I ordered one last September and provided title, actual car, registration, etc etc etc. I dealt with the parts manager who seemed to be pumped about me restoring an older p-car. I followed up with calls every 2-3 week ever since. It is now June and still no sticker.

I just masked mine off when I repainted the car. Works for me.
