Turbo Headers going onto a 3.0SC

I have a 3.0SC that is due for a turbo conversion.

One of the items I purchased ahead of time, is what appears to be a set of B&B turbo headers. (pic to come).
The turbo headers have the little insert plus they are thick flange.

My SC is the early head that doesnt have provision for the insert and is also designed for thin flange.

What's the best way to use this exhaust on this engine?

- Remove or drill out all 12 studs and replace with long and then grind flat the inserts off the flanges?

- Cut off the thick flanges and have a shop weld on thin flanges?

Something else ?

Thanks John.
You will likely know the answer to my next question: do thick flange headers on a 3.2 sit lower or at the same level, as thin flange headers on an early 3.0?
Ie, if I were to opt to have the flanges cut off and new ones welded on, would it make the headers sit too close to the engine?

Same level, so swapping flanges won't work.

Try test fitting the headers before eliminating the inserts. I put turbo headers on my 83 SC which should have same exhaust port size as yours (I think). They weren’t B&B, but they fit my heads fine, though just barely. I think the 930 had a smaller (or same size) exhaust port than the SCs.
