911 G50 clutch clicking noise

Hi all,

Noticed this today. Not sure if it's always been there and I've just noticed, or if it's a new noise.

When I depress the clutch and release it, there's a clicking noise almost at the very top of the travel (fully released). There's also a slight squeek, like something needs greasing that you can hear faintly.

The rubbing noise is just me in the leather. I've attached a video.

https://youtu.be/D-3rbny3k4s

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Seems to be quite common at the top of the travel when disengaging the clutch from what I've read in other threads, but mine clicks both when pressing in and releasing the clutch, as you can see from the video.

A lot different than the 915. Any prominent side-to-side wiggling or looseness in pedal is an indication Bushings could probably be old, worn out or broken. As stated remove floorboard and inspect before going out for a long drive.

If I release slow, or fast noise is there. It's strange, if I depress the pedal the click is at a different point to when it clicks as I release the pedal. As I release the pedal, the clicks almost right at the top of the pedal travel.
I'll check the pedal for play.

I would check fork lever. Problematic area. Bearings break, worse case the trans housing cracks, few things can happen in there

In the G50 clutch pedal, there is a clutch helper spring and a link that behaves like a cam. It flips over the leverage fulcrum part way through the clutch foot pedal travel. My guess is there's something going on in that.

Sorry if that description is confusing. I'm struggling with the right words. But, if you remove the gas pedal and foot board, then press the clutch, you'll see the behavior.

Hi everyone,
For those interested ended up being a roll pin in the pedal assembly which was upgraded to a 964 roll pin, which doesn't have the split in the pin. Solid all the way around.

I've noticed a noise now when releasing the clutch when the cars off. Almost line a creak. If I open the door, it gets louder, which makes me think it's the pressure plate?

I need to do a bit of digging with a second person. Does it matter if I keep pressing and releasing the clutch pedal in 40-50 times to find the noise? Don't want to damage anything else and I'm not too familiar with hydraulic clutches.

Needs to be some grease in the release fork divot that the slave cylinder pin goes onto or you can get a squeek.
