Vinyl wrap "petals" on fake Fuchs

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about using a gray or silver vinyl wrap to put contrasting petals on my 3.2. I would use cut tape to lay out the margins of the petals, and a heat gun to stretch the warp over the surfaces.
This is just in the spit-balling stage, but what do you think of the idea?
Here's a photoshop my son did of the end product.
Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving,
Dave

If you extended the grey to all but the very lip you would have a kind of RS look.

My understanding is that while both wrap and Plastidip are reversible, the vinyl wrap is more durable.

You are correct....PlastiDip also tends to attract a lot of dirt and needs cleaning more often...ask me how I know (the kids car)

Dave - I think you may have a solid idea. I painted my Euromeisters - it was a pain and am still not happy with the result - for me - getting the clean edge between silver and black on petals was frustrating. I am thinking the vinyl wrap could be a good idea, but I am wondering about painting the petals silver and using vinyl for the black part - maybe sounds crazy - but could be easier?

My paint attempt:

Hmmmm could someone just print the overlay on vinyl with both the silver and black? Like an rs style wheel wrap?

I could be wrong, but it's a complex surface that involves stretching and distorting in order to apply. My guess is that the color pattern would become somewhat irregular. That's why I thought I could apply and cut one color on the existing black background.
