Help define 911 tools
Hi guys...I'm putting together a tool kit for 1974. These tools were in a kit I bought and wanted to know what they are and what year are they intended for.
FWIW- I'm still looking for the 19/22mm closed end wrench, tow hook and the hatch pattern bag. Appreciate the help... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1702487056.jpg |
Ok, with some searching and digging, I've already found my answers. Amazing the amount of info on here.
Hear are the two sources I used to identify the tools and years. https://www.originalporschetools.com/ https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/946479-tool-kits-overview-74-up.html |
One option is a brand new Porsche PCG 911 721 10 tool kit, for 911G, 1974-1982.

Seems crazy that it's $500 for, like, nine tools. Any way to assemble the specifically required tools for less if you don't care about concours judging?

The Porsche tools are awesome.
I reach for them wrenches everytime, they seem perfectly designed, balanced and right-sized for the jobs at hand as one would expect just like the car. |
Yea, they are great tools. I've already got everything with the exception of the tow hook, bag and 19/22 closed box end wrench and I like the original stuff if possible..

$250 for a 19mm wrench? Yeah, pass.
I meant stuff like the spark plug tool or the fan tool. |
