930 clutch release fork question
The clutch kit on my friend's 77 930 came from Kennedy Engineering with a throwout bearing that has 2 fingers facing out. These should engage with the release fork and be pulled outward to release the disc. But the fork that came with the short nose 4 spd trans had fingers that face the wrong way. Most of the parts diagrams show the throwout with a engaging groove and a fork with pins to fit in the groove. But other technical manuals that we have show the throwout with the fingers as on our clutch. Has anyone on the forum run into this problem? Is there an alternate clutch fork that would work with our clutch? If so -what is the correct part number?
Thanks in advance for your help! |

I wonder if they gave u parts for long bellhousing conversion to lightweight (small) clutch pressure plate?
|
Looks normal to me. Rotate the pic 90 degrees counter clockwise and that's how it sits in the bellhousing. Roll pin hole at the top. The fingers fit under the t/o bearing ears.

Post a picture of release bearing. John is right.

Ok-will give it another go on Monday
