Engine and Chassis Number Confusion

I recently bought someone else's project.

VIN: 9113101911
Engine # is 6133699, case is stamped 901.101.101.7R
Morgans book says the engine number falls in the range for a US 911T. Doesnt the case number indicate a 73.5 with CIS and not a 73? Book also says the tranny should be a 4 speed. As it sits in my garage, the car has a 5 speed and 40mm Webers. The same book says the VIN number on my car indicates a 73E.

OK fine, so I just dont have a matching numbers car, right? Not a big deal to me. The car has already been flared, been given IROC body work and a front oil cooler by either the PO or the PO's PO. Its a non sunroof coupe with a pretty bad rust problem. If I dont part it out, I'll just keep dorking around with it until its road or track worthy. Collector value is of no concern.

Here are my questions:
Any educated guesses as to the original configuration of the car?

Since the tranny has been swapped from the orginal 4 to a 5 speed according to the book, how do I tell if its a Magnesium or later Aluminum 915?

This car needs a good bit of work. One of the things at the top of the list is a replacement for the rusty gas tank. How do I tell if this car has the CIS or non CIS tank?

Any help is appreciated.

Shuie, 9113101911 is the vin # for a '73 CIS 911T.

Engine serial number 6133699 is also correct for a '73 CIS 911T.

Although I think that theoretically the '73T may have come with 4-speed transmission as standard, it was optionally available with the 5-speed.
