Boxster Brakes Conversion on 1983 911SC

I always wanted to put bigger brakes on my SC. I found an adapter kit with all the hardware and hoses etc. I bought the kit from TRE Motorsports. I bought a set of Porsche boxster, caymen brake caliper set. The front calipers are big big big. The rears seem appropriate size for the upgrade.

Can anyone tell me what I have? The smaller calipers will fit the front calipers brackets. I’m thinking it’s a later year model than what I need.

The distance between the two bolts on the bigger set are 142mm, and the smaller set are 120mm.

There isn’t a porsche part number on them.

I believe the TRE kit is meant for early non-s 986 boxster calipers. Those calipers look like they're newer 718 calipers.

SBell is correct.Our kit only works with standard earlier Boxster. Catalog part numbers are REAR : 986 352 423 01 and 986 352 424 01. FRONT : 986 351 423 03 and 986 351 424 03

These are available new from our host

So does anyone have an idea what these are for? These days they could be off a Dodge. There isn’t a cast in part number like some of the other era calipers i’ve seen.

Just based on the color and castings they look like 718 S calipers based on this chart. Measuring the piston sizes should help narrow down what they are.
