Wheel/Tire Balance Recommendation - Los Angeles
Hi Everyone,
I recently purchased new tires from Tire Rack for my '82 SC and immediately noticed front-end vibration (through the steering wheel) at highway speeds. I brought it back to the shop (Tire Rack recommended installer) and they confirmed that both front wheels are dynamically out of balance (static balance is OK). However, they said that they could not add weights closer to the centerline of the wheel (behind petals of Fuchs) because of caliper clearance issues. I am hoping that a shop more used to dealing with Porsches may be able to help. Do you have any recommendations for shops in the greater LA area? I am located in Torrance, CA, so I know of Johnson's Alignment, as well as Wheel Enhancement (by LAX), but wondering if there were others I may have missed. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Aaron

I feel your pain. I had my deep sixes balanced 3 times for them to be right. I am in Auburn, CA, about 30 min. north of Sacramento. I ended up going to Roger Krause Racing in Castro Valley- about 2 hours south of me, and they got them perfect. That's about 375 miles from you....
