Sport seats in a '72 "S"

Would a car with factory air conditioning (at least, according to the COA) have had factory leather sports seats as part of that package? I thought they would've been added as an extra item but this car is supposed to be original and it has leather seats. I suspect they were added later, however???/
thanx steve

Steve,

I have a 72 and I do not know if leather had an option code in 1972. I believe the sport seats in 72 only had adjustment (front to back slide) on one side of it's tracks. In 73 both sides of the slider had adjustment locking teeth. You might want to check the sliders to make sure the seats are original. If so maybe the leather was original. Just a thought.
