Smile German speakers: need some help

(slightly OT, but the 911 content should be apparent. )

Does the word "rostwanne" which translates directly to rust bucket or rust tub, have the same idiomatic meaning in German as it does in english? That is, would it commonly be used to describe an old, rusty car?
