Help, Rear Fuse Panel Wiring 87 Carrera
Made a boo boo and didn't label the rear fuse panel wires well.
Couple of questions.. I took pictures before I undid everything. My inputs were to fuse 1 (bottom) and fuse 2 (middle). These two wires are coming from the alternator. Does it matter which wire from the alternator goes into fuse 1 and 2? I had tape on it but I forgot to label it before I undid it. Question 2: I am looking at the Haynes manual and fuse 1 (16A) is only supposed to have 1 output wire (red/black) and fuse 2 is supposed to have 2 (red/white, red/white). My original pic shows red/black + red/white in fuse 1 output. Is this okay? Do I need to fix this? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

hmm my original wiring did not match the porsche workshop manual either..
input is on 2 and 3 two wires on output 2 and 3... seems like input side doesn't matter as much since they appear be ganged together.. ![]()

Connected things back.
Two red wires to fuse 1 and 2. Don't think it matters which one after looking into this more, seems like both are coming from the alternator and on the 84+ cars 1-2-3 are all ganged together. prior years only had 2-3 ganged. Initially put things back together on the output side like my original picture. Everything worked from what I can tell. No issues. But after see the picture here, and based on the wiring diagrams, I went back and moved the white red/white wires together to fuse 2. no diff. footwell blower seems to be working on both sides. https://forums.pelicanparts.com/7835190-post5.html
