please help.....me....oil and fuel line questions

I am almost done my car and would like to be driving this weekend. I need help!!!re oil line and fuel lines. I am trying to change over to steel braided lines. I need to know some sizes!!!!lengths???? I belive the fuel is -6 but I can't figure out how to fit one to the fule filter. I have been to many shops that sell all the fittings without any luck.has anyone chaged there filter.(to what?) I also need to know where the fuel lines go. I feel like total idiot I have many books (bently's....factory workshop) but they all have the same diagram! it shows the direction of the fule going into the accumulator but its confusing! it shows in one end and out the other but I have three conections on the sccumulator for my 81 sc. if anyone has a pic handy that would help me out tons. I also remember reading a post on oil braided lines awhile back but now I can't find it.....if anyone can help I sure could use it!!!!! thanks
