Looking for a creative solution
The back "seats" if you want to call them that, flop down when I brake. Whoever recovered my seats left the backs of the fold down seats bare, and I'd like to fasten them up so that they will only fold down when I want them to. I've tried just tightening the screws to no avail. And straping them up is hard because of the aftermarket speaker set up on the back ledge. Whoever did that did a good job, and I'd like to keep that, but the seats flopping down is getting annoying. Any cool suggestions?

Sticky velcro tape?

I like it....
Cheap and matches the black interior. I was going along the thread of quick release fasteners, but didn't even think of velco. |
Back Seats
What worked for me was to add thin rubber grommets to the screws to create friction. The seats still come down, but they don't flop down when braking, only when I pull them down.SmileWavy

Where did you get the gromets?

Grommets
I work at an aircraft company where they are plentiful. However if you went to Lowe's or Home Depot they should have something similar.

An aircraft company? Which one? I work for Lockheed, maybe I'll go down to the line and see what there is available.
