1st Porsche Engine swap. 2.4 to 3.0. Anything I need to know?

Hi all,

Many of you have followed my saga on the Rennlist site. (HELP!...New porsche owner stuck in Nebraska...)

Anyway, I've located a 3.0 (Out of an 81, with Lambda) to stick in the car, and I had a couple of questions about it. My current setup is:

Stock 72 2.4T Motor w/MFI. 915 Transmission.

Has Permatune and optional ITG (?) filters.

Questions:

1. What will I keep, and what will I get rid of with the stock setup?
2. Will I need to buy anything extra to make it work, or should the complete system just bolt right int?
3. do I need to modify the oil filler setup because of the unique 72 Oil filler location?
4. My plan is to use the early exhaust/header setup to gain some HP.
5. Could I conceivably do the swap in a day or so?

Thank you so much!

mto
