euro sc timing
Hi, I am confused. I am looking for the correct idle speed timing for a 78 euro 3.0L, type 930.03 motor. Is it 5 degrees BTDC or 5 degrees ATDC. Waynes new book lists BTDC but others on this BBS say ATDC. Also my pully has a notch 5 degrees to the right of Z1(clockwise of Z1). I assume this notch is correct for idle timing which I think is BTDC? The motor is transplanted into a77 911S so I have no stickers on 77 to correspond to the SC motor. Thanks for any info, Jerry.

Ignition timing is normaly BTDC but not always. I had a car years ago which was 5 or 10 deg ATDC (I think it was a TR250).

I thought my 77 2.7L was ATDC? However, my may concern now is the proper timing for the euro 3.0L. Thanks, Jerry

I have a 1980 Euro 3.0L, timing decal calls for 5 degrees BTDC at 950 RPMS.
