Removing Lug Nut Locks

Hi All,

I’m having a horrible time removing one of the wheel locks on my 911, to the point where it’s actually broken as you can see in the picture. I’ve used a breaker bar and impact wrench so far. Any other ideas for how to remove this?

Air hammer pointed bit. Dig in and rotate in the off direction. Don't let it slip and hit the wheel. Wear gloves and face shield and hold the bit near the end for control.

Check this thread out for some suggestions: Locking lug nut

I've also found that the factory recommended a hole saw for removing a sheared nut.

pound on the nearest size impact socket and use your impact gun

i always use the no2 pipe drill..works great..just you have to be careful when you get closer to the rim..I have debt mark on my pipe drill so i know when to stop...

Take a mini sledge and beat a socket onto that and scare it off with an impact gun.

I have done it with a 12-point socket, pound it on like stated. But first you need to apply Kroil or something and let it sit for some hours. Every little bit helps.

I got a cheap broken lug nut removal tool set off of amazon. it worked very well. Basically a big broken stud extractor socket

This happened to my 86. I used the tools above but the nut was too close to the wheel so
I ended up using a hollow bit to take it all the way down, but be careful not to damage the
wheel.
