Random parts I found after I pulled my engine, where do they go?

Here are all loose the parts I found while removing and cleaning my engine. Where do they all go?

Here are my observations so far:

8 is some kind of two level washer, I found two of those, they look important

12 or 13 look like they could be a valve cover nut

20 Looks like it came off one of the wires on the back of the alternator, where do I get a new replacement of this rubber cover for that alternator wire?

22 is some kind of rubber standoff, maybe like one of the ones on the intake manifold?

24 Looks like it might be a fuel injector harness clip

I'm not even sure that all these are Porsche parts

Bonus question: what is the most random part, tool or object you found in your Porsche 911 engine bay?

They all go ... in the trash.

You will probably find a home for a lot of them when you start putting things back together...

Yes. After the engine is back in the car + 6 months.

An old guy once told me after replacing an engine, just throw them into the gas tank they will find there way to where they belong”😉

I'd put them in an old prescription pill bottle, labeled "Porsche Parts" and keep them. Eventually you'll do something somewhere and realize ... oh that's where it goes. ... Until you forget you have that bottle of parts, or forget where you put it.

BTW, No.8 are interior washers for the trim screws holding the door pockets on, along the bottom edge. Or other interior places where a trim screw is used through carpet.

Yes, that is the plan!

Ahh, thanks for that tip.

That does bring up the larger question of how they got into the engine bay...

That is my thinking as well.

Ok, that is interesting because the AC in this car is non-functional. I'll investigate.
