Engine level?
With the engine installed does it set level? What I mean is does the engine and trans set in the car flat fore to aft. I know the engine mount holds it level side to side. Then the trans mount holds it at the front. But does it retain it with a nose up or down angle? Does the trans hang lower towards the front or higher? So if I put a level across top of engine would it be level? Does it matter?

Are you looking for stuff to worry about? The engine and trans only goes in one way. If the mounts aren't missing or totally collapsed, and the engine cross bar isn't bent, it's fine.
That will give you more time to worry about whirled peas.

And if the shift rod is centered in the bulkhead hole the trans is correct

It has an RSR style cross member it seams flimsy to me. It bends pretty easily. And the ends the mount bolts go through isn’t as wide or long as the stock 3.0 cross bar. I didn’t know if I needed to put a spacer in to lower the back. Yes everything is in and tight. A little paranoid yes. S**ts expensive. But not worried
Plus didn’t know if oil scavenging would be effected |

There's a spacer that goes between the gearbox and cross-mount to the car. Forgot exactly how thick this is. 3 - 4 mm. Obviously this alters the angle of the engine & gearbox to the shifter coupling. Whether this is beneficial or not I can't say. I've driven my 911 since '92 without it and no problem shifting. Being used to the way shifting has always been, perhaps I don't know what it should be like. Recently installed this spacer only because a "Porsche guru" (who should know his stuff) suggested to me "it should be there." I have yet to deal with some other shift rod fine tuning before concluding whether it's worth it or not. Part # 911 375 311 00. Below" #2

This seems pretty clear. PET diagram 3-06 1985-up still shows the plate - but no part # is provided on the schedule for part #2 on the drawing. Because the plate (#2) and turbo trans carrier (#1a 930.375.031.00)), shown together in the diagram (and depicted separately from the N/A trans carrier #1, 911.375.033.01 on the drawing) are no longer listed separately. Also seems fairly clear to me. YMMV.
