Footwell blower wiring - what are these wires question?

1986 911 Coupe here...

Photo shows wiring to blowers themselves (fused), but not sure what the brown and brown/red wiring goes to - if anything in my model.

Taking everything apart and found these wires on both sides...neither connected to anything. Would like to remove if not needed.

Maybe I am missing something from the schematics.

Thanks!
Erik

They don't seem to come from the same loom as the blowers.
Could this be for speakers? Brown/red is a wire color combo used for some of the speakers in this car. Just a guess.

I upgraded all the speaker wires a few years ago and you could be on to something. I removed the factory fader switch and was looking late last night if I had any factory speaker wires left over from the upgraded stereo install.

I did run new wires through the doors/footwell but just can't remember how the original speakers were connected.

Pretty sure speaker wires are brown and brown w/red as you state.

I think your response may have triggered the answer. Not sure the manuals cover speaker wiring for mid 80s models. Hoping the forums will help over a cup of coffee this morning

Thanks!
Erik

Just found this:

84 isn't covered but my 86 is.

Good call...looks like I can delete the wiring now.

Again, thanks!

Erik
