Who makes the Best Carpet Kit?
Looking to replace the carpeting in my '84 3.2 Cab, which has seen better days. What is the current consensus re: who makes the best kit? Lakewell seems to be a contender. What about Newark Auto? Any others that people have used with success? Thx!!

Heritage Trim or World Upholstery… both located in the California. Lakewell (UK) customer service recently had some disappointing experiences and reviews here. Newark (NJ) seems the most economical but I’d wonder about the backing material.
Be sure and get some samples from any of the above before ordering. Having 45 yr old oem one-owner carpeting still in decent condition, the only section I currently need is the driver side where the vinyl foot pad is worn through. For me trying to mix & match that one section might be difficult w/o replacing the entire set. |

I was pleased with the quality of my World Upholstery carpet set so definitely would recommend them.

I had a bad experience with Lakewell on the door pockets for my 1973. I won'y buy from them again.
Let me add Autos International to the "buy again" list of interior suppliers in the USA. I got carpet and seat reupholstering kits from them and am satisfied.

The above are good. I have also heard amazing things about Classic 9 Leather. For my 89 anniversary car they are the only ones with the correct color leather and carpets. A friend has his whole interior done by then (with local fl install) and it turned out amazing.

Great experience with World Upholstery in a recent redo of an 86 Cabriolet. Had them do piping of a different color than the carpet and all came out great.
