1970 911T - What Comfort Seats Do I Have?

I believe the comfort seats that came with my 1970 911T are not original. I'm under the impression that in 1970, the standard comfort seat was leatherette with a basket weave insert. Any ideas on what year mine might be from? They don't have the basket weave insert and I'm contemplating trying to find original seats for the car.

Thanks,
Steve

The seats, hardware seem to be original. As far as the material it has most likely been changed. It would be hard to say without the COA. My '73's COA showed black leatherette/12, vinyl with Corduroy inset.

My 72 911T had black leatherette as per the COA and look just like yours.

Thanks. I’ve seen pics of ‘72 and ‘73 interiors with similar seats. The seatbelt hardware is definitely ‘70 - ‘71 so I suspect the seats were swapped but they kept the seatbelts.

Hard to know for sure without a COA but this helps put the puzzle together.

I did a bit of searching. It seems your seats with upper latches in black would be 1972, chrome would be 1971, and 1970 would be chrome with center latches.

My 71 has the basket weave as shown above, but with the “shark fin” seat release as shown in your picture.

Forgot to ask, looks like Albert Blue, same as mine. Great color.

Got it thanks! Pretty sure they are '71 with the chrome hinges and shark fin release tab. I'm also getting input that they are probably leather given the wrinkles & texture, which seems a bit rare.

Good eye! It is Albert Blue. Original paint but a mediocre respray in the late 70's early 80's. I need to tackle the paint issues at some point. It's a 30 footer for sure

I'll take some pics when it warms up here soon and the light is decent.

I had a 1972 911-T I had ordered from the factory, and it had the black seat hinges. I remember this because I had seen a 1971 911 with the chrome hinges and was initially disappointed that they made that design change.
