Did 1972 911 have Intermittent Wipers?

A call out to the experts as I have conflicting information…

I recently sourced the spec sheet from a reliable source for my 1972 911T. On that sheet it says my car was specified with intermittent wipers which I believe may have been an option at that time. Intermittent may have become standard in 1974 ..

Seems the common point of failure was the intermittent relay. However upon checking the ‘72 wiring diagram, it looks like a wiper 4 position switch was standard on all cars but I cannot see any reference to an intermittent wiper relay …

I don’t want to pull the frunk apart again for a non existent relay..!!

I do not think intermittent wipers was on option until 74 or 75. My 72 has a four pos1tion switch being off, slow, medium, and fast. You could look on a 74 or 75 wiring diagram and see if you have a relay in the same spot.

Oddly. I have a 73 with a metal knob like the odometer reset knob under the gauge binnacle. This knob is in the area where a sunroof switch would be. It operates intermittent wipers. I always assumed it’s aftermarket. But it is very well installed.

The car had one owner before me, he passed away. But he liked accessories. Fog and driving lights and rear fogs and stereo with gooseneck equalizer removed before I bought the car. He seemed to like a lot of toys

70 and 71 had them but gone until 74
I think they had a dispute with Ford about the feature

Make your own like I did for my 1969 Dodge Coronet.

So it seems the documentation supplied for salesmen were not 100% accurate .. also states there is an ‘oil pressure warming light’. The light in the oil gauge is for the e-brake or failed hydraulic circuit.

I can't remember the last time I used my wipers, lol. But no intermediate wipers on my 72.
