Didn't you have another thread about a rat's nest of wiring left by the previous owner? Those terminals aren't factory so it's anyone's guess.

Is that where the reverse switch is on the 915? It's on the RH side of the G50.

Nope, 915 is on the tail and is a pair of bullet connectors, not spades. Maybe someone cut in a junction on the wires? Who knows with this car from the other thread I saw.

In that area, there are 2 pairs of wires standard, 1 pair is for the electrical pickup of the speedometer sensor. The other is the backup light switch.

obviously, the wiring has been adjusted by a previous owner. but it should be easy to see if the speedo or the backup light switch has no wires going to it/them

I’m with blue, speedo wires. Connection is thru a boot into the rear shift cover area. No need to cut wires, just disconnect at 2 poll connector and push connector with boot out the back of tunnel. Now u need to repair wiring. Im guessing your speedo didn’t work.

Grey/brown is the back up lights. The wire to the switch should be green/yellow.

See if your backup lights are working.
