Cruise vacuum lines

Anyone have any good pics of the vacuum lines from the cruise control servo?

Thanks

There are two, one larger diameter hose that runs across the firewall from right to left, then there is a small diameter hose about 8"-10" long that goes from the plastic "T" to the cruise control unit on the left side. I just installed my engine and couldn't figure out where the small line went, it goes forward of the big hose so when the big hose is installed you can't see the small male fitting on the cruise control unit.

I installed a new smaller hose and use a new clamp on the larger hose. The cruise control was always a little wimpy, had a hard time getting to the proper speed, then it wouldn't hold it. Now it pegs itself where you want it. Works as good as my GM car. The only problem is I have to find the switch for the brake, you have to go a long ways on the brake before the cruise control disengages. Naturally you can disengage it from the stalk on the steering column.

I can take a pix if it will help, let me know...

Do you have pics and where do the small and big lines connect to?

I'm interested in seeing a pic as well. The Bently diagram doesn't show where these two lines connect.

The big hose is just a vent line and hangs into the opening in the firewall between the two shock mounts.

Small Vac Line To Cc...

Howdy,

The small vacuum line comes off the white plastic "T" as shown in the picture and runs to the male fitting on the side of the cruise control module. The smaller fitting is just ahead of the larger hose connection. You can't see the smaller hose connection in the picture.

Cruise Control Vent Line

Is there a penetration for the vent line that just hangs open, or does it just rest inside the engine compartment?

Going through lines in the engine bay ('86) in preparation for re-installing my motor and was perplexed by the big servo line going into the pinch weld opening between the shock towers, so thank you for putting my mind at ease that 1) it's open to atmosphere and 2) that it just drops into that slot. Thanks.
