1987-1989 Carrera doors

Does anyone know if the coupe and targa doors are identical for all 1987-1989 Carreras?

The bare door is. Just use your coupe or targa parts in it.

Two 1986's here...

Am swapping out doors from a very low mileage targa to my coupe.

The low mileage targa had 1 great door and both targa doors had excellent internals.

Few things:

-Since I am swapping completely different doors I just removed from the hinge bolts and not the pins.

-Buying an 8mm 12 point driver for the B pillar adjustment made alignment so easy.

-Make sure the internals are the same, my situation was one door had central lock and the other did not. So, make sure and do your homework with that.

-AND...if you are swapping doors DO NOT forget to swap door handles/locks.

Got everything back together with one door and totally forgot to swap locks...ooof.


Again, this is from two 86's but thought these little things might help to know.
