By chance when you try and start your car, is the trunk lid , engine lid, glove box door etc open or closed securely?

I experienced a similar no start issue when I first got my car. I could also hear my alarm module clicking, so perhaps different issue.

I disconnected the battery and let it sit for a couple of days, cleaned terminals before reconnecting and made sure all open compartment/lids/ doors were closed. Started right up.

On some 964s, the alarm module may control the #50 (starter signal - yellow wire).

Your '94 964 maybe like the '95 993 which used a starter relay instead in the fusebox. Look for that relay in the owners manual of the fusebox.

Yeah I do have the trunk lid open so thats a possibility but it's been open for a long time with no issue earlier on the other hand.

So I've been reading diffrent threads and the starter relay keeps coming up. I've checked for a relay but can't find any in my car. (964 1993 C2). Can anybody clear this up for me? Is there a starter relay somewhere in a-93 c2(RSA)?
