G-Body Door Pocket Replacement
Like most, my original door pockets on my '84 Targa had cracked in the usual place, and I tried the band-aid fix with the plastic bracket from Ebay. I've not been happy with that result, as when I was peeling the carpet back the vinyl split on the corner edge on both doors.
I ordered some finished fiberglass pockets from leather restoration vendor around 5 months ago, and no delivery with no ETA. Apparently issues with getting the fiberglass pockets themselves. According him the the fiberglass is better than the molded plastic, but if they aren't available it doesn't matter. Is there any reliable source for very high quality pockets, whether fiberglass or plastic? Not too concerned with the price, just want the best set I can get. Does anyone know if the originals are still available from Porsche? I know what happens to them over time, but if they last me 15 years and look great I'm fine with that. Thanks!

Howdy,
I sourced a set from another lister - that I think I'm not likely to install - considering going RS. style door cards. I'll send you a DM. |

DO NOT buy the Lakewell door pockets. Poor quality and fit. BTDT.
