I've installed a couple and the flanges make it easier. especially if you use the factory gaskets. .. but you can buy generic flanges.

thanks Levi so it can be done without ok. Are you glad you did the cutout switch? I'm wondering if I'll run mine with the open (loud) ports all the time anyway. Worth it? Thanks

thanks Geneman did you opt for the smaller ports for sound requirements at the track?

Yes Jon. I tried it that way but still no go... Lime Rock is 88 db and the db police are everywhere! oh well, worth a try but I love the sound and look. especially from the titanium unit,, which I switched for the steel one. huge difference in weight hanging off the back there.

BTW. your thread on the polishing is really nice. had no idea that the shine could come up that well. is that polish used with elbow grease or electric buffers? definitly a winter project,

Fortunately I recently completed a fuchs refinishing project so I had all the buffing and cutting wheels and every other imaginable sanding tool. Most of the work was done with a light grit sanding wheel drill attachment. It cleaned up very quickly with it. Final sanding was done with green scouring pads.

I may have the flanges of mine. If anyone needs them and would be willing to purchase them
I can go digging around my spare parts area.

Can anyone post a list of part numbers needed to fit one of these to a G body? Flanges, gaskets, straps.....etc. I might just fab up a bracket or go with the Bursch part mentioned above.
