Ungo Box Alarm Removal
Despite many threads on this every case is different so see if I can find a way to remove mine
![]() What I did so far: - I removed the siren (it was next to the spare tire) - I was able to locate wiring in the smuggler box going to my box installed in the glove box - I removed the flasher switch, and the fuse connectors (the red light is still on in the Box tho) - by mistake, I cut a wire that is #1 or #4 and the car was starting so I connected it back, so I'm gonna keep it that way for now. so to my understanding, it seems that the ignition wires have been routed to the Ungo Box and form the Ungo box back to the ignition. I think I can safely cut all the other wires because they don't affect the car, but I need to find WHERE the ignition wires have been re-routed. is this something done under that dash usually? Cna also someone tell what the heck are the other wires for "Instant ON" "Radio sense" ?? ![]() |

Just remove any non-stock wires and repair any separated/cut connections back to stock.

ok, i was able to remove it!!!
the main two ignition wires (I guess SEND & RETURN) where white wires connected to some purple wires probably coming from the fuse box, I guess interrupting the fuel pump maybe I imagined that connecting purple to purple would create that bridge and I was lucky it was it. I then proceeded to remove everything else. along the way, I'm afraid I have cut a couple of black/ground wires thinking they were belonging to the UNGO. but everything electrical seems to work fine what's not working now is the headlight sprays (but I couldn't care less) and the clock stayed behind (it was working before) so I guess I juse need to ground them again |
