Front door speaker upgrade

I've searched and read quite a bit.
Can't seem to find the answer I need for my car
1987 911 coupe.
Want to upgrade my front door speakers to seperates, woofer and tweeter
Looking at Focals
Presently have the stock 5 1/4 speakers
There is a tweeter cutout in the door card for a tweeter
I am looking for a 6 1/2 that will retrofit in the door without cutting and medal. Im ok with enlarging the woofer hole a bit on the door card.
Cars not going anywhere.
Enjoy long drives and the wife would like a little music to listen to occasionally

Im running a Focal underseat amp and underseat subwoofer
Also looking for and want to use stock 1988-89 woofer and tweeter porsche round speaker covers if any one has some they would like to parts with

Thanks

Thanks for any replies

Below are what I am running in my 87 911 coupe.

This sounds amazing, even when I cruise w my windows down and my Fabspeed Super Cup exhaust

My head unit is a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB

Looks like you already have some things covered. The receiver made a massive difference and overall this setup is going to last me for years.

Good luck and have fun w it.

I put MB Quart's 6 1/2 inch speakers in many years ago and really like them. I did have to fabricate an adapter plate to bolt them to. There are some threads that detail the process and have templates if you do a search. I am using a 4 ch Sony amp bridged to 2 ch. No rear speakers being used. I had a sub but took it out. Cleaner bass with just the MB Quarts.

It's always easier to get the packaged sets from the various manufacturers. Sometimes it's better to build your own.

Last fall I went through this looking to upgrade the mid-woof and tweeters in my 930 - original were Canton units which were shot. Ended up getting a crossover separately and getting the speakers from Parts Express. Was able to find the exact diameter and audio characteristics I was looking for in their Wavecor units, and avoided all cutting of the door as the dimensions were perfect. Even able to use the original grilles. Perhaps it'll work for you.

I have Morel 5c precisely because I didn't want to cut metal. This was 11 years ago. I'm sure there are better options now, but still, unless you add sound insulation, it's just "decent".

I went with these (Alpine) front doors and rear deck - great results. Also a subwoofer and amp, but these really brought the sound to me up front. Had Focals before but went components just to try something new.
