74 Carrera fuel pump location

Hi everyone, today I wanted to R&R the fuel pump on my 74 911 Carrera Targa but lo and behold it is not behind the gas tank where it’s supposed to be!!?
Any guidance will be appreciated very much!
Thanks

Until 1976, It is in a cradle under the left rear passenger seat.

FWIW, you have two choices for replacement:

1-Factory Style for mucho dollars (https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/91160811056.htm?pn=911-608-110-56-OEM&bc=c&SVSVSI=9284); or

2-Universal pump which will require you to modify the power and plumbing (https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/91160811056.htm?pn=911-608-110-56-M14&bc=c&SVSVSI=9284).

You can also replace all the fuel lines and convert to a front mounted pump. It's a two week home mechanic DIY job but totally doable. At the very least, replace the short lines at the front and back as they will be completely rotted by now.
