PMO - IDF throttle shaft comparison
Obscure application here. I'm doing a 3D ignition system on my 3.4 twin plug motor. I need to acquire load data for the 3D map. TPS is my first choice as its straightforward and doesn't require a rats nest of vacuum lines.
However, I'm running PMO 50mm carbs. All of the carb shaft TPS sensor kits are based on fitting Weber DCOE/IDF carbs. I know that the PMO jets and other parts are IDF based. So my question to the collective is: Are DCOE/IDF throttle shafts the same dimensionally as the PMO ? Thanks! |
Updating this post. I was able to determine that the PMO carb throttle shaft profile does match that of the IDF/DCOE/Dellorto carbs. I picked up this kit thats made by Webcon in the UK.
The only difference is bracket mounting. The PMO carbs, like the IDF, have a single screw boss above the throttle shaft end, whereas the DCOE has 2 screw bosses. The Kit utilizes the two screw mount. The single screw boss on the PMO does line up with one of the mount holes on the supplied bracket. Shouldn't be a problem........we'll see. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1734375133.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1734375172.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1734375420.jpg |
