Dang it, I searched for the URO seal, everywhere!! For months and settled for the Porsche, the URO is much better and easier to install. I tore my old URO on the 3rd windshield replacement.

That is really strange, someone along the supply chain must have accidentally put a white "OEM" label over the top of the URO label for LH Quarter Glass Seal 911 543 035 01. First time we've ever seen that happen.

I sometimes wonder what the differences are other than the price. I’ve purchased URO, OEM, German, Hamburg Technic, and Porsche. It’s hard to tell the difference once out of the box. My latest and returned part was a fan and fan shroud made by Porsche. It had very poor quality. Lately i’ve been shooting one up from the lowest price. Porsche buys them from someone… Maybe to someones.

In my case, I’ve got 180hp, don’t drive it in events, I keep a skeptical eye on new parts and the car as a whole. I really don’t need titanium, although I have some… I drive my projects/toys a few thousand a year.

Maybe im mistaken , i thought we were talking about windshield seal not quarter glass seal , still better to go with URO windshield seal ?

^ Folks assumed the discussion was about windshield seals, but it turns out 2.7RS actually ordered Porsche OEM Quarter Glass Seal 911 543 035 01 and was sent the wrong item.

All the comments about windshield seals still stand, they're just not pertinent to the shipping mixup.

And the correct seal arrived.

And for everyone to know there are obvious differences between Porsche original seals and aftermarket.

I only have time to do things right the first time. I only buy Porsche parts. I've been burned before.

Thank you Matt @ Pelican

As much as I like to support pelican, it's generally faster and cheaper to buy genuine parts from a dealer like sunset.

Interested to hear how it fits. Does it have formed corners?

John the corners is the biggest difference. The shape is or Porsche seal corner is triangular the URO are 2 rectangular flaps that are harder to mold into the B pillar

Porsche seal corners flips and fit the crevice where B pillar meets roof with just the correct space to fit the felt seal on top with the mini screw and get it air tight

Porsche rubber seems to be more pliable and folds easier when pulling the string.

Seal installation is a biatch regardless. Hot day helps. Lube helps. Beer helps more

I own a few cars, I've done it a few times and I see the difference
