Fog lights delete plugs for 82 SC

I found some threads about removing the fog lights but none recommended a specific plug. Where can I find a plug for the holes, and how many do I need, which size etc?

thanks!

I think I used a package with an assortment and they mostly fit (well enough where they didn't come out during a track day). As for what sizes they were specifically? Don't remember! :)

a package of what?

As a temporary measure when I removed the bumperettes on my car I picked up a few plastic plugs at Ace Hardware. Basic black plastic plugs that press into place, they are in the hardware aisle with other random small parts. They have a bunch of sizes and it should be easy to find one that fits. Bring in a bolt or something that fits the hole to the store and use that to help find the size you need.

I forget the color name but there is a shade of Rust Oleum spray paint that is a close match for Guards Red that I used to put a few layers on the plugs before I installed them. It looks fine on my rear bumper (until I get around to pulling it and having the holes filled permanently) and under the front for the fog lights you wouldn’t ever notice the very slight color difference unless the car was on a lift and you were looking specifically at it.

oh I see just simple plugs. any picture of the car? I wonder are they like 6 holes total? i wonder if the end results is worth/looks good.

btw on amazon I found the porsche black L041 as spray (it matches 100% as I used to touch up some door edge scratches

i just repainted my 1974 911 valance and deleted the fog lights also....

i used rubber plugs to plug up the holes, i think it came out pretty decently. the shadows make the plugs look like the are NOT flush, BUT they are in fact flush and fit well.

i found the plugs on ebay or amazon, cant remember....

if you like the way it looks i think i can find the links and post it here for you.

Thank you for the pics. Very useful.

I can get some on amazon since it’s easy to return…. You have 4 holes on each side then

You car also seem to have a glossy smooth finish.
My car instead has a bumpy finish which i don't know if a specific year or a
Something the PO did

your welcome......

yes, four holes, 3 different sizes. i measured each and ordered accordingly.

yes, i painted my valance, the bumpy finish picture is the reflection of my garage floor....

from the factory, the valance come with a bed-liner type rough finish, same-thing with the rockers......

I used this kit from Amazon:

..or... i see the entire valance new is not super expensive... $300-400, not cheap but I could have an entire new piece without holes and smooth finish in stead of the rough one... ill sleep on it
