“S” Hose Clamps - How tight?

I’m finally getting around to replacing the old rubber “s” oil hose on my ‘84. Maybe a silly question, but can anyone describe how much I should tighten the new clamps around the hose ends? I’m sure it’s largely a matter of feel, but any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

just like you said by feel,if you cannot spin the hose -it means it is tight,i hope you have the correct clamps,right?
