Backdate Gbody longhood lazy latch

When back dating my 912e i looked at welding an early panel, using hood pulls creating a latch setup that uses the stock gbody pull and cutting the front panel to accept it (another user did this and looked to work well).

For those that don't want to use hood pulls and don't feel like welding in an early latch panel I decided to do this:

Simple and effective, wind force keeps the hood down. This is more so a safety catch

A guy I used to work with had a similar design in rope to hold the front bumper of his Nissan Sentra on .
Looked cool , but you can’t beat duct-tape , cable-ties , and self tapping screws .

Welded on extension to the safety latch. Piece of cake.

Julian I checked out your build and it's awesome! Only thing is I used an original longhood. Your method only works if you extend a short hood.
