Smoke from passenger side rear wheel

Hi -

After driving my 82 911SC about 30 miles, mix of backroads and highway, I noticed smoke coming from the passenger side rear wheel when I parked in the garage. There was a "burning smell".

I do have a few oil leaks, but those have been there for a few months and I have never noticed the smoke before after driving.

The rear passenger side wheel was not hotter than any of the other wheels and the brake disc did not seem hotter either.

Temps were not hotter than normal and the car drove fine.

Is this most likely oil burning off?

I have tried searching with no luck.

Thanks for your help!

Can you distinguish the smell, whether it is hot smoking oil, or brake pad smell, or something like leaves or plastic? Did you leave the parking brake slightly on? Otherwise, oil leak onto right heat exchanger, or a plastic bag got stuck to the exhaust, or something like that. .

My guess is oil leaking from your lower valve cover onto a hot heat exchanger that's giving you a burning smokey state in your rear wheel well.

Thanks for the replies.

I believe the oil is Liquid Molly 20w 50.

I am horrible with smells. If I had to say anything it would be that the smell yesterday was a little bit different smelling than burning oil.
