Pelicans pressure brake bleeder
Quick question re Pelicans, or anyone elses for that matter, brake bleeder. Since the tubes feeding the mc are just held in by a couple of rubber grommets, at least on the older ones, does the pressure blow out the feeder tubes? If not how much pressure is recommended?

You shouldn't need more than about 15 psi, and I'd definitely keep it under 20.

If you are talking about the mitivac type deal, it just sucks the fluid throught the lines to purge the air. you pump it up and open the valve. You have to be careful not to run out of fluid. There is another thing available that attches to the reservoir to make sure this doesn't happen.

If the pressure is kept low (10 to 15 psi) and the rubber grommets in the top of the master cylinder are still pliable it will be okay. I have had to replace the gromments when they were brittle as they would leak during the bleeding operation. Pelican sells the rubber grommets. Jim
