Sal at American Auto Upholstery on north Cicero. Excellent work, very nice guy, very reasonable prices.

I have used Orlando Glass & Trim on Ashland around Huron, and I have been told good things about, but never used, Beil's on Clark in ca. Uptown or Rogers Park.

I used Mitchell's Auto Upholstery in Arlington Heights to install seat covers I bought from Lakeland.
I was very happy with Mitchell's work

Good call on Sam. If you check my thread somewhere in there, you can see the seats he did and the quality of the work. He’s also a really cool dude.
Stitch girl does phenomenal work, no question. But she also charges Ferrari prices as most of her clientele are in the ultra high-end exotics.

I had Beil do my knee guards, they covered a dash cap with German vinyl, and did the parts above the door cards. They also found covers for my FJ's arm rests. The prices were so frickn inexpensive at the time. The outside of the place looks run down now as I'm only 6 blocks away. I think the org owner either gave it to his son, or he passed, not sure. But I went in there a few times on a Saturday morning, it reminded of what it must have been back in the days when people hung out in barber shops. There were 5 old guys sitting at a table, drinking coffee and shooting the shat every time. He did not charge Porsche prices.
Good luck

Thanks, tobluforu. When I get to my Fiat’s interior nexte year I may buy molded replacements for the center console pieces and dash (they’re a lot cheaper than OE-style) and have them covered in vinyl - sounds like Beil’s would be a good place to take them. Maybe doing the door tops on my Targa to match the dash, too.
