Wow! Two '94 Flat Nose Turbo S's for sale (ending soon) on eBay. You don't see these come on the market very often!
Here's one - I saw this car at Hillsborogh Concours last year and it is a real beauty! |

I saw two over the weekend. One was a really beautiful Black flatnose cabriolet with a turbo fin on the back, crusing through Hermosa Beach.
The other was a shot of the front end of a white one, in the move "Manhunter".. add that one to the movie list. |

I don't know where did I get the fear of buying any Carrera 2/4/turbo between 89-94. Is the engine issue over-stated? Are they as reliable as pre-89 911s?

Bill:
Yes, the headlights pop up a la 928 - very rare cars - wheres the lotto when I need it! I guess the fact we're seeing them for sale is an indicator of the soft economy. |

Not sure why it was so expensive, its still a '94 3.6 turbo engine, but its more than just the headlights, it's also the engine breathing scoops in front of the rear wheels and probably a lot of luxury trim items. Can't read the sticker real well on the eBay ad; that would probably answer a lot of questions. I checked out B. Anderson's comment in the Excellence October 2002 turbo edition; no specifics other than it is so limited they can't develop a market price. Looks like the '92 Turbo S (80 units, Europe only) was also a very nice car. Also checked out P. Zimmerman, P. Morgan and the Red Book, nada on the '94 Turbo S!
Kinda like a 911 CS; there are only 28 of those too ('88+'89 US builds)! I think I would trade straight across for the '94 Turbo S though! |
