'74 915 R&P needed
My R&P has been serenading me for many years now. Since Al has my 2.7 for modernization, I figured I'd get the transmission attended to. My shop confirms the R&P is the cause of the whining and is looking for a replacement. Don't know if I want to go used but a new Porsche part is crazy money.
Anyone have experience with the R&P's sold by Retro-Sport, FVD Brombacker or Design99? Appreciate all input. Thanks, Tony '74 911 Targa

Retro Sport sells Albins ring-and-pinion sets and gears. You'll hear different opinions on Albins versus other suppliers. But the bottom line is that they are good quality parts.

I’ve got German OEM on the shelf, made by Hor. It’s the same units as sold by Porsche Classic, but about a grand less.

Thanks guys!
I was at the Porsche dealer, picking up a car and wandered into the parts dept. found the R&P was 1/2 the price I’d been told. Still not inexpensive but $5K is fine since everything else in the transmission checked out. Tony

The Hör parts Matt sells are the real deal, and would be my first choice for a new r&p set.
