Heater cable loop, how to attach it to lever?
I searched here other posts but the only one I found was this one which is not super clear, and seems everyone has a different version of the levers
https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/393990-what-secret-attaching-new-heater-cable-cockpit-levers.html my car is 82SC with auto-heat, so only one lever, and at the bottom of the lever there is a simple hole. the new cable is the one with two end and 1 loop. Now... how the hell does the loop of the new cable go through this? do I have to un-loop it? seems absurd...i was expecting a bolt or something.. I wonder if I can use some clippy thing https://i.imgur.com/Flf7sKb.png |
you can carefully un cross it to put it on. you have to also have the lever out of the car so you can get the wire and the tail wire back down the tube to prevent it from coming unlooped.
