Anyone seen this setup before?

Saw this at Parade monday. Owner closed the cockpit off behind seats and opened engine comparment. I would think access to motor/trans and suspension has become easier.

I saw one of those at hershey last year in a 73 2.7RS.. It looked really good and I guess it opened up alot of working room.

What about the rear view mirror? Was the viewing size reduced?

Rick Lee 06-25-2003 09:37 AM

Yeah, I saw this at Hersher this year and it looked totally awesome. I think it was for sale, but forget how much.

Richard,
Wasn't it in the 40K range?

That's a great idea for a track car! But it would make you feel like you were riding in a 914 http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/kao5.gif

There is a thread over on Rennlist from the guy who just bought this car. I think he said he paid in the upper 50's for it. Would be a blast to drive.

Wonder how much chassis stiffnes was hurt -- or helped.

Great way to deal with rust in the rear window and rear seat area on the early cars.;)
