How to wire Hotspark (Hot Spark) electronic ignition in '69 911E

Hi folks,
I'm trying to install a Hot Spark electronic ignition - to replace my points in my '69 911E.

The instructions which came with the kit describe how to connect their black and red wires from their unit, but don't say what to do with the existing wires - the wire that currently connects to the side of the distributor (Bosch) which goes to the points, nor what to do with the 2 wires which currently connect to the + (15) side of the coil (they go to the CDS & SCR according to the Porsche wiring diagram).

All they say is to connect their red wire to the + (15) side of the coil, and to connect their black wire to - (1) side of the coil. They also note that I need to connect a switched +12 V wire to the + (15) side, and to remove the ground to the - (1) side. But again, they make no mention of what to do with the existing wires (other than the ground)! Anyone got a clue?

I've done a lot of searching on this, and sent an email-query to Hot Spark, but no info yet.

Any ideas?
cheers,
jt
